Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Waystones, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Waystones.

Waystones is a web-based campaign log that lets a tabletop group record what happens in their sessions together, and produces session recaps, MVP votes and leaderboards from that log. Waystones is provided on an as-is basis and may change over time as we add, modify, or remove features.

You must provide a valid email address to create an account, and you must be old enough to hold one where you live. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure. You may not share your account or create multiple accounts. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

You and your party retain ownership of what you log in Waystones. By logging content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it as necessary to provide Waystones: to the members of your campaign and, for a Waystone Card your campaign's DM chooses to share, to anyone with that link. You are solely responsible for ensuring that what you log does not infringe the rights of others and does not contain illegal material.

You agree not to use Waystones to:

• Log, share, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, campaigns, or data.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from Waystones.
• Interfere with or disrupt Waystones, its servers, or networks connected to it.

A campaign's DM may remove any member from that campaign.

Campaigns and sessions are private to their members. A Waystone Card becomes public when the campaign's DM creates its share link, and stays reachable by anyone with that link until the DM stops sharing it or reopens the session.

Waystones is free for one campaign with up to five players. Pro is a paid subscription, billed in advance by Stripe monthly or yearly at the price shown when you subscribe. You can cancel at any time and keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for; your campaigns stay readable afterwards. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. If we change the price, we will tell you before your next renewal.

You may delete your account at any time from the Account page. Upon deletion, your account and the campaigns you run are permanently removed, and any Pro subscription is cancelled, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms, with or without notice.

Waystones is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service, arising out of or in connection with your use of Waystones. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of Minnesota.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Continued use of Waystones after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
